Our Top Ten Lists for Fall

Sadly, summer is drawing to a close. But, leave it to Princess and me to find a silver lining...all new clothes, shoes, handbags & accessories in the stores for us to add to our ever expanding wardrobes!

With the new fall lines in the stores, we present you with our picks for the fall. Each of us have compiled a top ten list with our best finds under $25, $50 and $75.

Budget's Picks:

UNDER $25:

1) You know me and my obsession with belts... That being said, what good is a fall outfit without a fabulous belt to top it off? This belt from New York & Co. is selling for $24.95. I love its nod towards western flair, while it retains a sophisticated look! I picture this with a white button down, skinny jeans and ballet flats or cowboy boots.

 2) Nothing screams fall to me more than a cozy sweater dress. H&M has a fabulous find for only $24.95! The dress is available on the website in black or navy blue. I can't wait to go out and pick this up for myself...pair it with tights (another obsession of mine) and cute booties? What could be more fabulous for fall?

3) This knotted pearl necklace adds a great little flash of bling to your fall outfits. This fall, big jewelry is in--and this piece is big, yet sophisticated! From Charlotte Russe, this piece sells for a mere $7.50--a price so low you can buy one for yourself, your mom, your sister, your best friend, your neighbor, the girl in the cubicle next to you who you don't even like... This piece is equally fabulous with a black sweater & jeans on the weekend or with a suit for the work week. Quick...go snatch yours up before other people find out about this steal!





UNDER $50:

4) For those fun nights out in the fall, this clutch is super glam. This fall, you're going to see these "rocker chick" accents everywhere! (Just look at some of the fall shoes that have studs like this up the heel...) This luxe look is available from The Gap for $29.95. Anyone who sees this will think you spent way, way more! It's available in this greyish/green and in black. I prefer the color you see here--it's always fun to add an unexpected pop of color to your outfit--but the black is fabulous too.

5) I have several pairs of these leggings...they are that fabulous. Don't you hate when you buy leggings and they are so thin that you feel naked and your underwear can be seen as clear as can be every time you move? I promise you, these leggings are so far from that you'll never want to take them off. They are thick, flattering, comfortable and stylish. They come in a variety of colors and will be great for the fall with a sweater jacket, a tunic, a long button down and a pair of ballet flats, heels or boots. You can find these at Macy's for $29.50.

6) This colorblock cardigan showcases one of the fabulous fall fashion trends. Look in the stores and you will see this colorblock style on skirts, sweaters, shoes, bags...anything and everything. This cardigan is super cute, super flattering and has a unique ruched neckline. You can find it in the red shown here (which I particularly love...and have already snatched up for my fall wardrobe) or in a grey with black blocking down the sides. Look for it at The Limited for $49.90!

7) These dressy pencil pants are the perfect fall pant for work or for the weekend. In fact, I own two pairs of these pants already and it is taking all of my willpower not to buy them in every color! If you want to snatch some up, you can get them at Victoria's Secret for $39.50. They come in nearly any color you can imagine. They are comfortable, stylish, flattering and...well...just plain fabulous. They look awesome with any shoe...especially a high heeled wedge (a great fall staple!) and with nearly any shirt. A must have for any stylish fall wardrobe!





UNDER $75:

8) Ok, ok. It wouldn't be me if I didn't include at least one pair of fabulous shoes for the girl on a budget, right? Well, I love, love, love these patent leather pumps! This raspberry color adds a great pop to any fall outfit. You can work it like a neutral and pair it with black, brown, grey, navy...you name it. They're a fun way to spice up your work day or to sass up your nights out on the town. You can find them at Macy's for $69.00. If raspberry patent leather isn't your style (and I have no idea why it wouldn't be...seriously), then you can go for teal patent leather (also fabulous), black or nude patent leather (always classic), or gold snakeskin. Any choice you make, you can't lose!

9) A pencil skirt is a must have staple for EVERY girl. Seriously. That's a hard and fast rule. (If you don't believe me, look it up in the fashion handbook. I swear it's there.) Personally, one thing that makes me think of fall more than anything else is corduroy. This skirt, from JCrew for $59.50, is a fabulous addition to any fashionable fall wardrobe. I particularly love it in this navy color...I'm a sucker for navy. It also comes in teal and grey as well. Plus...it's so rare to find a fabulous skirt from JCrew for such a low price! And, trust me, they make amazing pencil skirts. I have several hanging in my closet!

10) What's better for the fall than a fabulous tote? Especially one in such a bright, cheery color? I love this orange...it mimics the leaves on the trees and it just makes me smile every time I see it. (If orange isn't your thing, it also comes in black or a grey camouflage.) I love the idea that I can throw a scarf in here for those chilly fall mornings & nights, an umbrella for those fall showers, a book, my wallet, my sunglasses...and, well, anything I can think of. Where can you get this fabulous tote? Find it at Banana Republic for $59.50.

Princess' Picks:

UNDER $25:

1) To me, nothing says fall like a crisp white button down...especially one you can get on a budget! Find this one at Old Navy for $24.94. You can pair a button down with any fall staple--jeans, a suit, leggings...you name it!

2) Whoever said "less is more" was an idiot. Especially if you're talking about bracelets! All over the fashion magazines you can see that stacking your bracelets is a trend that's here to stay...at least through the fall. So, pick up this fabulous bracelet from H&M for only $4.95. For that amazingly low price, you can get a fabulous find that looks great on its own or compliments other bracelets when stacked together. Go get it quickly because this is sure to go flying off the shelves!

3) Last winter, I developed an obsession with stripes. Luckily for me, stripes are the "it" pattern for this fall! As you know, I not only have an obsession with stripes, I also have an obsession with scarves (some would call it unhealthy, I just call it awesome!). So, what could be better for those chilly fall days than a striped scarf? So, for those of you who want to jump on my scarf bandwagon (and, to be honest, who doesn't?) pick up this fabulous find at H&M for $17.95!






UNDER $50:

4) Ok...so you all know about my obsession with bags. So, I would certainly be remiss if I didn't find a fabulous bag for my top ten fall picks! This fall, satchels are hot, hot, hot. But, if you don't want to blow your entire fall budget on a fabulous bag, I have just the find for you! Go pick up this western-style messenger bag from Francesca's Collections for $48.00. I did...and I love my newest addition to my bag collection!

5) As the weather starts to turn from scorching hot to a chill in the air, I love soft, silky fabrics to wear under suits, with pencil skirts, with dress pants, or with jeans for the weekend. This fabulous silky blouse does it all! I especially love the emerald green color--it goes with any outfit, casual or dressy. I'm partial to pairing a shirt like this with boot cut jeans and flats for a fun day out or a night of drinks! You can find this shirt at Zara for $49.90. If emerald green isn't your color (and really, it should be), you can also get this shirt in navy or tan.

 6) Right now, I'm obsessed with gold. (Good thing the fashion designers are, too...) For a while now, I've been drooling over a specific gold watch that is so not budget friendly. So, sadly, that watch will not be gracing my wrist in the foreseeable future. However, I have found a great substitute...and I won't cringe when I buy it at this price! For this fabulous bling, head over to Francesca's Collections, spend $28.00 and head home with some great arm candy.







UNDER $75:

7) I hope you didn't throw out those wide-leg trousers that were so hot a few years ago because, guess what...they're back! If you (sadly) emptied your wardrobe of this style of pant and you want to update your wardrobe for the fall, go for this pair from The Gap for $59.95. This is a great look that won't break the bank!

8) This is a great fall piece that will become an instant classic in your wardrobe. The shape of this dress made me instantly fall in love! It's the kind of cut that's flattering on anyone and is super versatile. Wear it for a casual occasion with flats and a jean jacket, wear it to the office by itself or with a blazer and a pair of heels and wear it out for night with some sexy shoes and bold accessories. Just change your accessories and this dress easily goes from day to night! To add this super sexy staple to your wardrobe, go to ASOS, and for $54.89 this dress can be yours. If red isn't your cup of tea, it also comes in 6 other colors. But, c'mon...who doesn't want to be the lady in red?

9) What screams fall more than a fabulous, tailored blazer? This twill blazer can be found at Zara for $69.90. The cut & color of this blazer make it an instant classic that will be right at home in your wardrobe for years to come. If navy (pictured here) isn't your color of choice, it also comes in cream and black.

10) I love flats in the fall, but more importantly, I love a nude shoe. (Not like that! Get your mind out of the gutter.) A nude shoe is super versatile--it goes from day to night, work to weekend. It looks great with brown, black, navy, grey...any color you can think of! These shoes look super comfortable--another plus in my book. You can find them at Piperlime for $69.00. This shoe is a great price for a great item that will last you through the fall, and can definitely be worn again next spring and summer!
